Japan Youth G8 (JYG8) is a broad network of Japanese youth activists and organizations who are involved in various global issues such as the environment, development, peace, and health.
JYG8 aims at gathering both Japanese and the world’s youth in one place for one objective: to make the voice of youth more influential.
Our project consists of:
(1) World Youth Summit for Sustainability,
(2) Collecting thousands of signatures from Japanese youth to request the Ministries of the Environment, Foreign Affairs, Education, and Industry to have periodical meetings with youth representatives, and
(3) Organizing the processes in formulating statements for governments, private businesses, and the youth.
