About G8
G8, the Group of Eight, is an international forum of the governments of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Annual G8 Summit is very important for the world because the summit gives direction to the international community by setting priorities, defining new issues and providing guidance to established international organizations.
In 2008, the Summit will be held in Toyako, Hokkaido, Japan. Environmental issues will be one of the most important themes of the Summit.
